"Real faith is never concerned with the methods which [God] uses - only the results which He promises."

BBC Europe reports that the Bishop of Rome, also known currently as Pope Francis, has made some interesting comments regarding current world affairs. "Pope Francis warns on 'piecemeal World War III'." BBC Europe. Sat. 13 September 2014.
Retrieved from www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-29190890 A "piecemeal" World War III may have already begun with the current spate of crimes, massacres and destruction, Pope Francis has warned. He was speaking during a visit to Italy's largest military cemetery, where he was commemorating the centenary of World War I. "War is madness," the Pope said at a memorial to 100,000 Italian soldiers at Redipuglia cemetery near Slovenia. The Argentine Pope has often condemned the idea of war in God's name. Only last month, Pope Francis said the international community would be justified in using force to stop what he called "unjust aggression" by Islamic State militants, who have killed or displaced thousands of people in Iraq and Syria, including many Christians, the BBC's David Willey reports. In Saturday's homily, standing at the altar beneath Italy's fascist-era Redipuglia memorial - where 100,000 Italian soldiers killed during WWI are buried, 60,000 of them unnamed, the Pope paid tribute to the victims of all wars. "Humanity needs to weep, and this is the time to weep," he said. "Even today, after the second failure of another world war, perhaps one can speak of a third war, one fought piecemeal, with crimes, massacres, destruction," he said. The pontiff's visit was also infused with personal meaning, our correspondent says. His grandfather fought in - and survived - Italy's offensive against the Austro-Hungarian empire, in north-east Italy in 1917 and 1918. In recent months the Pope has called for an end to conflicts in Iraq, Syria, Gaza, Ukraine, and parts of Africa. It was a special request from our oldest and she loved it! (FYI - it looked pretty close to the picture) Serves: 6 Ingredients:
Toppings (use any or all):
Cooking: Cook the pasta in plenty of steadily boiling water until al dente, then drain. Meanwhile, heat the Earth Balance or oil in a small skillet. Add the onion and sauté over medium-low heat until translucent. Add the garlic and sauté over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, until both are golden. Remove from the heat and transfer to a food processor. Add the tofu or beans, and nondairy milk to the food processor. Process until completely smooth and creamy. With beans, especially, let it run for a few minutes, to make sure they get nice and creamy. Jan Brewer to declare a state of emergency as floodwaters led to one death, turned portions of a Phoenix interstate into a deep canal and forced the closure of dozens of schools and the House of Representatives. The National Weather Service said Phoenix had set a record for the most rainfall in a single day with about 3 inches as of 7 a.m., breaking the old record of 2.91 inches set in 1933. There are many who have long desired and tried to obtain these blessings, but have not received them, because they have cherished the idea that they could do something to make themselves worthy of them. They have not looked away from self, believing that Jesus is an all-sufficient Saviour. We must not think that our own merits will save us; Christ is our only hope of salvation. 'For there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.'” Acts 4:12
