Signals to identify, intercede, and (if necessary) eliminate toxic relationships:

1. They spread negativity.
2. They criticize you and others.
3. They are jealous.
4. They keep disappointing you.
5. Everything is always dramatic.
6. They play the victim.
7. They are self-centered.
8. They aren't interested in changing.
   

Toxicity is a symptom of the human condition.  In a broken world there are broken people,  who in turn break others.  That said, we all have a Healer.  A Potter whose goal is not just to fashion us, but to restore us to the intent of His original design!  We were made to be pure.  Redeemed to be holy.  And being so, He can change us from toxic to timeless!  Foul to free!

When you see others, or that man in the mirror, and smell the spoil of toxicity, look to Jesus!  He doesn't just freshen the air, but He literally shifts the atmosphere!  That takes us from being the offended to intercessors.  In Christ authority we can pray that the Spirit of God not just bring relief, but reform to those in toxicity while I become a sweet savor to them.  To do this best, sometimes it will require distance; space.  But even in that gap, we have an opportunity to seek change on their behalf.  Could they reject it? Absolutely (see Sign #8).  But as believers, we're still obligated to give them that chance to reject it.

There is hope for ALL of us to change in through Christ:

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- 2 Corinthians 5:17

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- Matthew 11:28

But first, we must know we need His change.
