Haile Nayzgi (Eirtrea) - The leader of the Full Gospel Church in Eritrea, was arrested on May 23, 2004, one year after Eritrea’s government shut down all evangelical churches in the country.

Pastor Haile has been in prison since his arrest even though he has never had a trial, been offered legal representation or even been charged with a crime. He simply disappeared into Eritrea’s prison system.

He’s not alone. Dozens of other Christians are imprisoned in Eritrea, and thousands more remain imprisoned in other nations around the world. The most important thing we can do is to PRAY for these believers and their families.

Auto immune disease. After her neurological consult, she was admitted to the hospital around 3:00 am this morning so they could run more tests. Please pray for accurate diagnosis and God's path for her healing!

Petr Jasek & 2 Sudanese Christian Pastors (Khartoum, Sudan) - Those being tried facing espionage charges for promoting the Gospel include Rev. Hassan Abduraheem and Rev. Kuwa Shamal, both pastors in the Sudan Church of Christ; Petr Jasek, an aid worker from the Czech Republic; and Abdulmonem Abdumawla, another Sudanese national.  Christian aid worker Petr Jasek has been wrongfully imprisoned in Sudan for 293 days, and his family is asking you to help save his life.

Facing espionage charges that could lead to a death sentence, Petr is being held captive in the squalor of a Sudanese prison, but his faith is strong. VOM knows Petr as a kindhearted man who has assisted VOM in providing care to persecuted Christians in Sudan and Nigeria, including medical care for Christians attacked by Boko Haram.

He was arrested in December 2015 in Khartoum, along with two Sudanese pastors whose stories have been widely reported. The trial for these men began on Sunday, Aug. 21, after more than nine months of wrongful imprisonment because of their Christian faith. Petr’s family has asked The Voice of the Martyrs to bring his situation to the attention of American Christians, asking for prayer and advocacy as the trial continues.

"Please pray for Julie.  She has had a headache for a week now.  It’s causes by the pressure in her head.  It is affecting her vision.  She went to the doctor yesterday and they told her if it got worse, the pain or the vision she should go to the ER.  She has another doctor’s appointment with an eye specialist on Thursday and is trying to hold out going to ER.  I don’t think that is wise.  Pray that there is something the doctor can do that can help her."

Faith Bailey (Florida) - She came down with swimmer's ear (a painful outer ear infection) on Sunday, August 28, and by God's grace and natural care (we will make a video soon), she was free of it by Wednesday.  However, she had another condition where it felt like a constant bubble was in her ear.  On Wednesday night, after praying before going to sleep, and as she lay her head, the bubble popped right before her head hit the pillow!  She was so excited and made the connection in that moment that it was God Himself who was with her through this whole process and healed her in that moment :)
