New Christians In Caracas (Caracas, Venezuela) - The Seventh-day Adventist Church baptized 4,012 new members into the church during a historic evangelistic celebration in Caracas, Venezuela, on April 16, 2016. More than 20,000 witnessed the baptisms in the metropolitan city’s Estadio Universitario de Caracas (Caracas University Stadium) marking the culmination of eight months of intense evangelistic efforts across the East Venezuela Union.  It's important to note how this event occurred the same day as the earthquakes in Ecuador!

People of Ecaudor (Ecaudor) - The powerful earthquake in Ecuador destroyed a local Seventh-day Adventist church where believers were worshiping on Sabbath evening, April 16, but no one was injured, church leaders said.  The South American country has declared a state of emergency after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck at 6:58 p.m. Saturday killing at least 443 people and causing widespread destruction. Four local Adventist churches were destroyed.  Church members were meeting in one of the churches, the Palmitas Seventh-day Adventist Church in the coastal city of Pedernales, when the earthquake rocked the region, said Giovanny Izquierdo, president of Adventist Church in Ecuador.  ADRA (Adventist Disaster Relief Agency) delivers food to 239 people in temporary camps & 87 in other shelters.  Please pray for the recovery and that God will use this tragedy to bring hearts to a saving relationship with Him. 

Juanita Cole (Virgina) - This past week, after suffering pressure in her chest and what was thought to be acid reflux, she was diagnosed with blockage in three of her heart arteries.  We pray for healing, wisdom and God's guidance as she, along with her cardiologist, considers her options that we hope will be focused on lifestyle adjustments rather than invasive surgery.

Russel S. (Aventura, Florida) - An Iranian brother who grew up Muslim asks that we pray for God to communicate and reveal Himself in all of His love to him.  Especially in regards to understanding some of the challenges and hurts that he had to face in the younger years of his life.
